Master’s Degree Student Scholarship: Up to $2,000
Deadline: December 15
This scholarship is available to current graduate students pursuing a degree in arboriculture, urban forestry, forestry, horticulture, or related fields. It is intended as a travel scholarship to assist with costs associated with attending the Southern Chapter ISA Annual Conference or the ISA Conference.
Applications can be submitted by December 15 for consideration. Notification will be provided by January 10. Determinations made by the Scholarship Committee will be final. Award payment will be made directly to the school’s financial aid or accounting office and credited to the student’s account. The scholarship funds can be used for tuition, fees, and books in the full-time pursuit of a college degree.
Administration
Screening and selection of scholarship candidates will be conducted by a Scholarship Selection Committee composed of members of the ISA Southern Chapter. The number of individual scholarships awarded, if any, is at the discretion of the Scholarship Selection Committee. All decisions are final.
Application Instructions
Applicant is responsible for all of the following materials being received by the Scholarship Selection Committee on or before December 15.
Complete and sign a scholarship application form. This online form will allow you to upload a letter of introduction, a letter of recommendation, and a transcript. See details below.
A letter of introduction (no more than one page) from the applicant to the Scholarship Selection Committee describing personal background, major accomplishments, and educational and professional goals.
A letter of recommendation from a faculty member in the college/university.
An official transcript(s) of courses and grades covering a period of at least one full academic year prior to applying for this scholarship.
