Tree Climber

**Full-Time | Immediate Opening**
ClearCut Tree Service is looking for an **experienced tree climber** to join our growing crew serving the Birmingham/Hoover area.
We are looking for someone who can confidently and safely handle climbing, pruning, rigging, and tree removals. This is **not an entry-level climbing position**. You should already have professional tree climbing experience and be comfortable working on large and technical trees.
Responsibilities
* Climb trees using proper climbing equipment and techniques
* Perform tree removals, trimming, pruning, and limb removal
* Safely operate chainsaws while climbing
* Set ropes and use proper rigging techniques to lower limbs and sections
* Work safely around homes, vehicles, fences, utilities, and other obstacles
* Communicate with ground crew during removals
* Inspect climbing gear and equipment before use
* Help maintain a safe and efficient job site
* Assist the crew with ground operations when needed
Requirements
* Professional tree climbing experience required
* Must be confident climbing and working at height
* Experience with chainsaws, ropes, knots, and rigging
* Ability to perform controlled removals around structures
* Strong understanding of tree-service safety practices
* Dependable transportation
* Reliable and able to show up on time
* Able to work outdoors in Alabama weather
* Must be able to perform physically demanding work
CDL, ISA certification, bucket-truck experience, crane-removal experience, and advanced rigging experience are a plus but not required.
Pay
Starting at $35/hour, with the potential for higher pay based on experience, skill level, productivity, and ability to handle difficult removals.

Jarraff Operator

This position is responsible for effectively and safely removing trees on utility right-of-way while operating a Jarraff tree trimmer and other forestry-related equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have experience using chainsaws to trim/remove trees.
Experience operating an aerial lift (bucket truck) in order to cut/trim trees.
Class a commercial driver's license.
Must obtain an Arborist Certification from the International Society of Arboriculture within one year of employment.
Note: the International Society of Arboriculture requires one of the following to be eligible to test for the arborist certification:
Three or more years of full-time, eligible arboricultural work experience.
