Foundations and Case Studies of Tree Appraisal Workshop Presented by Lindsey Purcell, Lp Consulting Group
This workshop will include an introduction in to the foundations of plant appraisal and case studies of recent assignments - Trees and shrubs serve many purposes and have value economically as well as aesthetically and functionally. When a landscape element is damaged or destroyed it is important to establish its true value to ensure a fair settlement and compensation for the loss and cost of replacement or treatment of damage. This presentation will discuss tree appraisal from the cost method perspective to assess the situation or damage to your trees and property and help determine reasonable and defensible value. The workshop will include examples of common appraisal situations with a focus on the cost approach.

Southern Chapter Memorial Scholarship

Student Scholarships are available each year for students attending 2 yr and 4 yr colleges and universities. An additional scholarship is available to graduate students to assist with costs associated with attending the Southern Chapter Annual Conference.

The scholarships are available to full-time sophomores, juniors, or seniors currently enrolled in a college or university and pursuing a degree in arboriculture, urban forestry, forestry, horticulture, or related fields.
